The Alcor cabinet, designed by Antonio Citterio for Maxalto, is a part of a collection of minimal storage elements designed for living rooms, studies, and bedrooms. These elements focus on charming color combinations with a glossy red lacquer interior and exteriors finished in your choice of patinated graphite grey or brown painted as well as black, soia or red shellac.

The combination of bright red glossy interior and different color exterior is a recurring theme of the collection. This color play remains hidden until the door or drawer is opened.

Antonio Citterio is an Italian architect, furniture designer and industrial designer who lives and works in Milan. He graduated in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and since 1972 has worked for many leading manufacturers, such as Ansorg, Arclinea, Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Iittala, Kartell, Sanitec Group, Technogym, and Vitra. Maxalto, a B&B Italia brand, is designed and coordinated entirely by Antonio Citterio. He has also been engaged in architectural works dealing with construction projects and interiors both in Italy and abroad. He holds lectures and conferences all over the world and his work has been extensively exhibited and published. He has won many prizes, among which the prestigious Compasso d’Oro in 1987 and 1995. His products are part of the MoMA permanent collection and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
